Disney Princes Went Bald
Would the princesses still love their prince if they all went bald?
P.S.) My favourite is Prince Eric from "Little Mermaid." Who is your favourite, gals?

I created this poster for a children's choir concert that will take place in Vancouver. Those who live in that neighbourhood should go check it out!

I've always wanted to design something in vintage style and I think I did an okay job on this one. :)

I struggled A LOT while designing this postcard... I had a vision of how it should look, but I lost my decisiveness during halfway, especially on the choice of fonts and background treatment. In the end, I had to step out of my comfort zones in order to finish this, but it was not without the help of my friends. Thank you so much guys (you know who you are)!

Guess where did I get my inspiration from? :)

I watched "Immortals" last night and was quite disappointed with it... The plot was crappy and the actions/ fight scenes were in no comparison to "300" in term of classiness. And though I know they were only borrowing from Greek mythology, I still think they should stick with the fact that the Olympians are immortals. I mean, seeing them dying under the hands of the Titans is just... SAD... :(
But out of all the disappointment, I still enjoyed the appearance of the Olympians and their fight scenes very much. In fact, I wouldn't mind it if they made the movie just about the gods 'cuz their unblemished faces, glamorous costumes and divine power are A LOT more appealing to me than the helpless humans! (lol)

As I was going through my design portfolio, I noticed that I had never posted the following graphic on here.
I did this in January this year, and it was for the Richmond Emmanuel Church Youth Ministry newsletter. I was told to create a graphic that portrays a sprouting seed and can match the "New Garden" font face. Since I had never done something like this before nor did I come from a design background, I was quite nervous about accepting the job. So I began to pray about it and tried to make a deal with God by saying: "Hey God, it was You who called me to do it, and this is totally for Your own use, so You better do this with me!" And then before I knew it, BAM!, it was done like dinner. :)

Homework assignment #2 (create a Christmas card with shapes only, i.e. NO PEN TOOL and therefore, a pain in the butt...). Done in Illustrator.
(p.s.) On a completely different note, I just found out that Hong Kong people start celebrating Christmas way earlier than the North Americans. How early, you ask? THE. END. OF. OCTOBER. O.M.G.

I was invited to design the upcoming sermon series leaflet for our church and here is what I did. Thank you Jesus for inspiring the graphic designer inside me to create this leaflet. May His name be forever praised and glorified.

I just came back from Hanjin Tan's autograph session and the excitement is still not over yet. I have to say, he is probably the most sincere and down-to-earth celebrity I've ever met in my life! I gave him a little doodle drawing as a present and he appreciated it very much! (And his reaction made me wanna give him another drawing already. :D ) How I wish we could chat for a bit longer on the stage because I still had so much to tell him! I also gave him my card and he said he would visit my blog so....
HANJIN, if you were reading this, PLEASE keep up the awesome work that you've been doing and don't ever let commercialism to take over you! Keep on singing and creating with your heart because that's the most powerful tool to move and change people/ the world. I will see you at your concert on February 24, 2012 yo! :)

I needed to create something original for our company's portfolio and so I made these (see image below). I've never done any corporate identity design before and it was a lot more fun than I thought. The company name--BR Construction Ltd.--was inspired by my dad's business in Canada.

Wow, it has been a LOOOONG while since I last updated. Work has been very busy and both my company and myself are going through some changes. I really hope things will settle down soon so that I can start planning on my career path...

Currently working on some premium gift concept drawings with the theme of "Dragon Ball" and it brings back many childhood memories. :)

Taniyama Kishō (谷山紀章) is one of my most favourite Japanese voice actors, though I think he is more active as a singer than voice actor these days--which is not a bad thing since I also enjoy his music. But I just really missed his voice acting today (as well as his cutesy face)...

"Come seek us where our voices sound,
We cannot sing above the ground,
And while you're searching, ponder this:
We've taken what you'll sorely miss,
An hour long you'll have to look,
And to recover what we took.
But past an hour - the prospect's black
Too late, it's gone, it won't come back."
