"Revivify" Tee Design
Our church is going to host a countdown praise night on December 31st and our theme is "Revivify"- -meaning to give new life or spirit to, or simply, revive.
I am part of the worship band and we (7) have been talking about our dress code for the night. Someone suggested that maybe we can paint our own tees, so I came up with this design hours later:
I also designed this in yellow in case the red looks too bloody.
Now here comes the challenge: I have never painted a shirt before and I only have about 5 days left to do this, so I don't even know if this design could be realised at all... We will see, we will see...

Boar
I was clearing one of my desk drawers the other day and found this portable pencil crayon pen that I owned when I was a kid. I remember I liked it very much and had only used a few times because I wanted to keep it at its best shape for as long as possible.
But now I had grown up and become less attached to it, I decided to fulfill its existing purpose by using it to create some art works such as this drawing here:
I would say, aside from the poor quality of the crayon sticks and the yet-to-be-improved nib grip, it is an overall smartly designed drawing tool. If any one was to remake this with higher quality crayon sticks, I would definitely buy it since I am also a big pencil crayon fan. :]

Bad Day
One of my fishies is sick. I don't plan to use any kind of medications because they never worked. I hope her immune system will save her.
Also, there were many things that I wanted to draw today, but I wasn't in a drawing mood.
I hate days like this.

Scatches
I had a horrible experience of busing to UBC today and I was so mad at Translink and myself! Thank goodness I had my sketchbook with me since drawing was the only way to keep me calm and sane the whole time...

Drawing Animals
A friend requested me to do some more watercolour paintings on animals, so here you go Jiman!
*Note: I did this painting with the watercolour sketchbook that I got for my birthday this year.

Guard My Heart
"Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. " (Proverbs 4:23)
____________
I saw this blog entry by Adam Young and it got me thinking...
I really love Adam's poetic writing style, and I sympathized with everything he wrote except the very last part. First of all, I do not miss my ex; secondly, I found the idea of missing another person's Special Someone to be quite discomforting... Imagine what would one's future wife feel if she found out there is another girl missing her future husband?
I pray that God will guard my heart and mind so that I won't accidentally give them to someone else's Mr. Right...

dD
I was trying to help Joshua (gr. 2) to remember how to write the letter "d" in big cap and small cap before Sunday School yesterday. He seemed to get it for a sec, but when I asked him again whether he truly got it, he smiled with a tiny hint of embarrassment.

Doodles (head)
I did a doodle of David Crowder (aka the author of this song) while I was waiting for the worship team practice to begin tonight...
(By the way, it's a great song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbmtjQppsao)

I Miss My HB
I haven't drawn with HB pencil leads for over a year because I found that HB leads smudge a lot, especially on high quality paper like Moleskine, so I switched to H instead. Now that I am done with my Moleskine and back to my cheap Opus sketchbook, I decided to draw something in HB today and boy, IT FELT SO GOOD! I mean, yes, they still smudge a bit, but their softness and darkness are just awesome.... I think I really miss that.
